Course Description:
This course consists of a three-day training program that provides hands-on training with personal protective equipment (PPE), sampling and monitoring equipment, and how to set-up, walk through and operate a responder decontamination line. The course is 50% lecture, 50% exercise. The student will learn how to operate various types of USEPA monitoring/sampling radiation equipment, how to conduct surveys, how to locate sources, how to determine contaminated areas and how to determine work zones.

The training location is roughly 12.4 miles East of DFW Airport. Fly into DFW International Airport, and follow driving instructions and map listed in the link below.
LODGING AND FOOD
You will be responsible for providing your own lodging while attending the course. The area surrounding the training location has an unlimited number of hotels. The Grapevine Area and the area due East of the airport has plenty of hotels to choose from. Per Diem rates are $95 (Lodging) and $59 (food) per day. See the link for "Lodging Options" below for some nearby options. |
