Participants will build upon basic skills in using Microsoft Excel 2010 to leverage some of the more advanced capabilities of the program, and learn techniques to improve their workflow in Excel. Tools explored include the graphing, charting, and formula functions used throughout the program. This is a hands-on class, and attendees will work with multiple page workbooks and real-world environmental data sets to organize, calculate, and visualize tabular information.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand intermediate to advanced uses of Microsoft Excel beyond the simple data table
- Feel comfortable exploring and using functions and recording macros
- Leverage charting, Sparklines, PivotTables and PivotCharts for data visualization and trend analysis
- Gain proficiency in using power shortcuts and recording macros that will save time.
