Achieving successful solutions to complex environmental and development issues requires adopting a negotiator’s mindset. This approach starts with a logical and open analysis of the situation and provides options for managing the issues. It operates on the premise that a negotiated solution makes winners of all parties. In this one day workshop, participants explore the principles of negotiation, learn about different negotiation styles, and recognize and overcome barriers that can interfere with successful negotiations.
