TSP Groundwater Forum - Online Training Meeting: A Focus on Succession and Technical Training

The Groundwater Forum, part of the EPA Technical Support Project for Cleaning Up Contaminated Sites, is delivering this 2025 Online Training Meeting to provide essential training to GWF Members supporting CERCLA and RCRA groundwater cleanups. The training is anticipated to include technical presentations, panel discussions, and case studies. With several hydrogeologists retiring and GWF membership continuing to grow, this event will also focus on knowledge transfer and the technical tools and resources available to support hydrogeologists in successful risk mitigation and remediation at contaminated groundwater sites. This training is designed to enhance the skillset of GWF members and to promote the cleanup of contaminated groundwater sites in an expeditious and scientifically sound manner, consistent with the Agency’s overall mission to protect human health and the environment.

 Key Training Meeting Objectives:

  • Exchange the latest technical information and publications related to cleanup of contaminated groundwater sites.
  • Learn the most efficient and effective approaches to groundwater characterization, remediation, and optimization from regional GWF members, Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation, Office of Research and Development, and other technical experts.
  • Promote consistency in the interpretation and application of guidance and policy throughout the country.
  • Advance GWF workgroup initiatives.
  • Build relationships among GWF members to facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices, and lessons learned.

This meeting will promote ongoing collaboration among current GWF members in the regions, states, and federal offices, laboratories, and response centers. Within each of these locations, watch parties are encouraged to promote further discussion and exchange of ideas.

Registration is open to current GWF members, including Regional Members, State Participants, and Friends of the Forum. This course is not open to academia, consultants, contractors, or any private entities.

Important Notice: Due to the content presented during a CEC course and the restrictions in place for non-citizens to enter federal buildings, international attendees are not permitted to attend CEC courses.
