The EPA has an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Policy and OLEM UAS Procedures which, together, ensure that EPA-procured UAS services by OLEM or Regional personnel and contractors are in compliance with federal law and EPA policies. These procedures apply to OLEM and regional personnel operating within the Superfund (e.g., Emergency Response/Removal, Remedial and Federal Facilities programs, RCRA, Oil, State and Local Prevention, and Brownfields Programs.
This briefing will provide information about procuring and overseeing small UAS services, following approval and reporting procedures, and data handing requirements. Attendance will fulfill biennial training requirements described in the OLEM UAS Procedures for EPA Contract Officer Representatives overseeing UAS operations on their Site or project.
