Event Description:

RPM 301 prepares Remedial Project Managers (RPMs) to address the challenges of managing  Superfund sites effectively. This course enhances RPMs' facilitation, team-building, and leadership skills, encouraging participants to apply these skills to common issues at large, complex sites, older sites, and sites with remedy effectiveness concerns. Participants and instructors will also explore project management best practices for working in teams and virtual work environments.  

Course Objectives:

  • Develop skills to build, lead, and facilitate project teams more effectively.
  • Identify and manage challenges and issues associated with large, complex sites.
  • Recognize and address issues specific to older sites.
  • Identify and manage remedy effectiveness issues.
  • Utilize best practices to manage projects successfully. 

RPM 301 is an intermediate- to advanced-level training course recommended for EPA Superfund RPMs with at least five years of experience and who are leading the activities at Superfund sites. This course may also be valuable to other technical project team members from EPA and state agencies. 

Prerequisites: Superfund 101, and Remedial Process Training, and RPM 201.
