Northeast Forum on Climate and Waste Connections A Three Part Webinar Series
Americans around the country are learning about climate change and strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and their carbon footprint. While energy use, energy conservation and alternative energy are often the focus of such efforts, attention is increasingly directed at product life cycles and the opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through waste prevention and recycling during product manufacture, distribution, use, and waste management. Understanding these connections is an important element of climate action plans and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. EPA Regions 1 and 2 invite you to the Northeast Forum on Climate and Waste Connections. Join us for a series of web-based training sessions and discussions as we hear from experts and practitioners from the Northeast and beyond. Our goal is to advance the discussion about materials management and the climate connection in practical ways that will help communities integrate waste reduction and recycling into climate plans.
