Low Impact Development (LID) is a decentralized or source control approach to stormwater management that focuses on maintaining or restoring the hydrologic cycle functions in a watershed. This approach is causing many communities and organizations to reevaluate their stormwater programs to see how LID can be used as part of a comprehensive watershed protection and restoration strategy.
