Program Description
A radical element is infiltrating our Armed Forces and corporate America. It threatens to rock the status quo and turn business "as usual" into business "extraordinary." What is it? Spirit and spirited leadership. Our military and the business world are turning to "spirited" leadership to produce extraordinary performance results. There are important lessons here for recruitment, training and job performance. Learn how to fire and forge a spirit that will inspire you and others to action and to more meaning in your work. But be careful, you just may discover a cure for the common career..Seminar Objectives
After completing this program, participants will be able to- Identify from case studies of the military and leading corporations the impact of leaders' beliefs on employee performance and the "spiritual dimension" such research has found in all high performing organizations and apply these principles to produce extraordinary performance results in their agency;
- Complete a spirited leadership audit on themselves, the people they supervise or work with and their agency and design performance objectives to meet identified needs;
- Identify and engage common attributes in the leadership styles of male and female co-workers;
- Identify and engage unique leadership attributes that male and female coworkers offer each other and the profession;
- Learn and apply "leader talk" -- communication that moves people to action;
- Identify and apply essential covenants of spirited leadership that ignite in themselves and others a passion for the work.
Target Audience
This seminar is for anyone in the organization. Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Anyone can be a leader because anyone can serve." Leaders are those who bring out the best in others and give meaning to the work to be done. This seminar provides the tools for such leadership to all.
