A performance verification demonstration of technologies that may be used to determine the presence of dioxin and dioxin-like compounds in soil and sediment samples was conducted under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Superfund Innovative Technology Evaluation (SITE) Monitoring and Measurement Technology (MMT) Program in Saginaw, Michigan, from April 26 to May 5, 2004.
