Seafood Processing Waste Permitting and Compliance Workshop
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is hosting two workshops in early 2012, one in Anchorage, AK, and one in Seattle, WA, for operators of seafood processing facilities that operate in Alaska or in Alaskan coastal waters regulated under the DEC Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (APDES) permit program. Purpose: The workshops will provide information on new APDES permitting requirements for the Seafood Sector in Alaska, provide compliance assistance, and answer questions regarding seafood processing waste permits, including three general permits:
