Event Description: |
This 3-day, 24-hour course emphasizes how to properly respond to releases or potential releases of hazardous materials for the purpose of mitigating the release in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii). This course is designed for the first responders (firefighters, law enforcement, hazmat team members and environmental personnel responding to emergencies).

NOTE: A medical evaluation in accordance with the Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.134 is necessary in order to attend this course. Each student must include with their registration a letter from their supervisor or a copy of a medical certificate that clearly states that a medical evaluation has been completed and that the student is medically able to wear respiratory protection equipment. This must be received before the class start date. Registration will not be completed, nor will confirmation be sent, until such proof is received by the ERTP Registrar. If registration done on-line, fax a copy of the document to the ERTP Registrar at 513-251-0200 or an emailed scan of the letter is sufficient. |
