Description: When water supply diminishes, creativity is required. Successful creativity depends upon the fundamental knowledge of water law, entitlement and use. This two-day course presents these topics with the objective of enhancing the capabilities of professional water managers.
The course will be a foundation for a case-study discussion of the Columbia River system, which will be presented on day two. Participants will discuss and analyze natural resource attributes (comparative scale, energy, environment, consumptive use), legal infrastructure, and current problems.
