This course will enhance participants’ understanding of major developments that have led businesses to incorporate environmental protection, workplace safety, employee health/wellness, and social responsibility into business strategy, planning and operations. Students will learn the history of United States and international laws and regulations, the growth of public expectations in these areas and how corporations have responded. Students will apply skills related to accounting, environmental management, and business administration in addressing these issues. Case studies will be examined and classroom exercises will be incorporated to provide the opportunity to apply EHS management principles to real world business situations.
