Getting from YE/YE on the Environmental Indicators (CA725/CA750) to Remedy Selected

Regulators need to start thinking about how to get from positive Environmental Indicator (EI) determinations (YE for CA 725 and CA 750) to remedy selected.  The Getting from YE/YE on the EIs to Remedy Selected training course is designed to address issues that State and EPA Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action personnel will face as they work to overcome the challenges of reaching remedy selected and achieving the 2008 Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) goals.  Topics covered during the course include evaluating the completeness of site investigation, addressing data gaps to the remedy selection process, evaluating and selecting remedial alternatives, and ensuring appropriate public participation in the remedy selection process.  This course is designed to increase stakeholder awareness of key topics and issues, rather than prescribe an exhaustive process for selecting a remedy.  It will also incorporate a progressive case study that will reinforce the topics discussed during the lectures and allow attendees to apply those techniques in a hypothetical situation.
