Remedial Process Optimization
Course ID: REM-510
Hosted by Northwest Environmental Training Center

ITRC defines Remedial Process Optimization (RPO) as an organized approach for evaluating active remedial actions and long term monitoring requirements. The RPO goals are to improve the effectiveness of the remedial action, accelerate site closure, and reduce overall site cleanup costs without increasing risks. This approach ensures the efficient use of resources to reach site cleanup goals. This course will provide interested parties, regardless of role, with practical information and guidance to systematically evaluate and manage uncertainty associated with the remediation process. The course will provide the information and tools necessary to complete the remediation process, satisfying site cleanup objectives that are both acceptable and feasible. Remediation approaches will be learned to attain given objectives and remain protective of human health and the environment.
